What to expect

32 Miles of the most challenging, rewarding miles in Pisgah. Join for the challenge, stay for the remote views. Over four days, we'll take on the challenging Art Loeb trail together. Starting at Camp Daniel Boone, we'll prepare and pack for our adventure, making sure you're kitted and comfortable with your sweet pack. And then it's just us and the trail, as we head off into the remote Shining Rock Wilderness, steeped in ancient Cherokee history and rugged beauty. Expect a challenge that is only exceeded by the reward we'll get hitting 6000ft peaks, and a hot meal at night. Quartzite outcroppings, thousand-mile views, Cherokee history, abandoned mica mines, deep valley exploring. This one's a rite of passage. Difficulty rating: Most Difficult

Weather and Cancellation Policy

To cancel or reschedule, please contact us at least 48 hours before the program starts. We play in the rain. Pisgah National Forest is a temperate rainforest, which means it's probably going to rain! We love this, as it draws out the forest's unique personality. We'll do everything we can to help you stay comfortable in the conditions of the day, but please dress accordingly, as best you can. If you have concerns, please reach out. We will cancel programs if weather conditions become dangerous. If a Local Guide cancels any program, we will reschedule or issue a full refund.
